ETA Tool Arms: Torque arms for fastening at any angle with pistol or inline electric tools
Torque arms for fastening at any angle with pistol or inline electric tools
Arms on this page are for holding an Inline Electric Driver or Pistol Electric Driver so that it can fasten in any direction, Vertical, Horizontal, up, down and any angle in between, without torque reaction or tool weight. While the tool will stay suspended at any height you leave it, please note that the FR holder will not lock in position. It is designed to move 360 degrees fluidly and easily without torque reaction from the tool. Because the FR holder on this page offers so much freedom of movement, when the operator lets go of the tool it may lay on its side, or flip up side down. This is a great tool arm when working at various angles but should not be the first choice if all fasteners are being driven downward (vertically) or sideways (horizontally). The arms on this page are not for use with right angle tools.
A good rule of thumb on tool holder selection is never have more freedom of angular movement then is needed for your application. Less angular movement means greater ergonomics and efficiency. But if you need the freedom to fasten at any angle then the arms on this page are the best choice. Have questions about this or other tool holder choices ? …Call or email us. We are here to help.
EL-Series arms are meant to be used with electric tools or anything other than air tools. However, all EL-Series arms still require a shop air connection for the float cylinder. Our Air Cylinder gives you the smoothest float of any method and decades of life (more than 50,000,000 rundowns). The volume of air needed is very low, less than 0.03 CFM. A 1/4″ (6mm) ID hose, at 80 psi (5.5 bar) minimum, is more than enough capacity.
