ETA Tool Arms: Torque arms for fastening vertically with inline air tools
Torque arms for fastening vertically with inline air tools
The first 5 arms below are designed to mount an inline pneumatic tool by your tool’s inlet port via the included 1/4 NPT hardened nipple. For small and medium inline air tools this makes a simple but effective mount that should last for years of industrial use. A torque arm like model PA506 used with an inline air tool has been one of the most basic pieces of workstation equipment in use for many decades in industrial assembly.
Some ETA arm users purchase the arms on this page along with our UV-TH (Universal Vertical Tool Holder) or TUV-TH (Thin Universal Vertical Tool Holder) and clamp the tool body instead of mounting by the tool’s air inlet. When your tool is long (over 12″), puts out high torque, or your process involves running the tool in reverse part of the time, using these arms with our UV-TH is a wise practice. Using a tool holder also works well when a blow fed screwfeeder is planned. The models on the bottom 2/3 of the list below include universal vertical tool holders for any inline or pistol air tool from 1-1/8″ (28.6 mm) to 2.0″ (50.8 mm) diameter. We also can modify UV-TH and TUV-TH to accommodate down to about 0.70″ (17.8 mm) diameter tools as some blind rivet guns require.
Also, if you are using one of these arms and your process changes in the future, any of them can be retrofitted with other ETA Tool Holders simply by removing the air fittings on the front and bolting the ETA Tool Holder in its place. Typically, when adding any tool holder you would need to replace the air hose with a longer piece of our braided hose (the brass swivel fittings included on these arms are reusable)
PA-Series arms are meant to be used with air tools. For any other type of tool; electric, battery, hydraulic, and fixtures or gauges, you should review the EL-Series arms. Our Air Cylinder gives you the smoothest float of any method and decades of life (more than 50,000,000 rundowns).
