CL/CLS – Wireless Click Wrench

Error proofing management and data acquisition from 2 to 350 N·m

CLS is a torque wrench that combines the mechanical click with electronic control. It is suitable to replace those click wrench already used on production line, with a minimum effort in term of operator training, but giving a feedback (LED and report sent to the controlling device / software) and interfacing with the customer production system.

This solution is a first step in proof assembly. The torque wrench can be connected to the SCS Concept Visual Production Guide (VPG+), and works as any of the tools used in the production station. It gets programmed by the software and send the feedback in real time.

CLS wrench can be also integrated in the customer production system using one of the controllers: FIM EVO or Freedom Control Box (FCB). Both software are designed to be interfaced with the customer system, with I/O or a very wide set of different protocols.

Depending on the model, the CLS wrench can offer the following:

-Check if the click occurred or not
-Check if the click occurred within a certain angle (this function is used to detect if the operator is trying to work on a screw already tighten)
-Check if the click point is within a torque or torque / angle window
-Check if the peak point is within a torque or torque / angle window

The wrench communicates wirelessly. Also the internal battery is charged using wireless technology, so that the wrench get charged each time is placed on its support.

Decrease maintenance - SCS Concept click mechanism reduces friction and mechanical wear and allows much longer working time without need for mechanical adjustment. It also allows for longer maintenance intervals, compared to competitors.

CL/CLS controllers

SCS FCB (Freedom Control Box) - SCS FCB can manage up to 4 CL/CLS wrench and is design for Error proofing management, No data store, but all report are available on the 8 input/8 output 24V.

FIM-EVO - FIM-EVO can manage up to 12 SCS Concept tools (CL/CLS, Freedom3, Freedom4, CDM, etc) and is designed to manage error proofing, data collection and communication protocol. A controller can manage 2 stations in same time. Please see the leaflet for more information.
