Momento: How to Read Part Numbers
Momento socket part numbers typically indicate the socket's drive size and key width (nut/bolt size). For example, "1-6" might represent a 3/8" drive, standard length socket with a 6mm key width. Longer sockets are often denoted with an "L", like "1-6L".

Here's a breakdown of how to read Momento socket part numbers:
1. Drive Size:
- The first part of the number usually indicates the drive size, which is the size of the square hole at the back of the socket that accepts a ratchet or other drive tool.
- Momento offers 3/8" and 1/2" drive sockets, which are common sizes.
- 0=1/4", 1= 3/8", 2=3/4", 4= 1/2", 5=1 1/2", 6=2 1/2", 8= 5/8", 9=1", 12= 3 1/2"
2. Key Width (Nut/Bolt Size):
- The second part of the number, often separated by a hyphen, specifies the key width, which is the size of the nut or bolt the socket is designed to fit.
- This is the size that needs to be measured to ensure the correct socket is chosen.
3. Length:
- "L" after the key width indicates a long or deep socket, which are suitable for reaching nuts and bolts in harder-to-access areas.
- Standard length sockets are typically sold without the "L".
- D=Deep, L=Long, RP=Rotary Protection (Spinning Plastic Cover), SF=Surface Drive, 4K=4-Point, E= 6 Lobe, "="= telling you what the rough equivalent is in inches, T=Thin Wall, M= Magnet unless it is a stud runner in which case it will have a number next to the M indicating the thread size for the stud, D6K=12-Point Configuration, KM= Axial Nut/Bearing Lock Nut, UK= Universal Knot, US=Universal Sockets, NM/NMC=Torque Socket, K=Locking Spring Ball, EB=Extension, LS or TD=True Drive, PA or IPA or UK=Adapters
Examples:
- 1-6: A 3/8" drive standard length socket with a 6mm key width.
- 1-6L: A 3/8" drive long or deep socket with a 6mm key width.
- 2-10: A 1/2" drive standard length socket with a 10mm key width.
