Bosch: Spare Parts Guide

Bosch provides plenty of useful guides and tools for their products after the purchase of them known as "After Sales Services", one of which being a spare parts catalog that any person can access and order directly from to repair their power tools or hand tools or anything else themselves. If you're comfortable fixing things yourself then this site is a great resource and even if you aren't comfortable repairing your product yourself but need the parts for someone else to repair it works for that too.

*If you are not in the USA, in the upper right hand corner of the page there are settings to change the language and the country you are in, pictured below.

When you get to the website you'll need to enter your tool's model number or name exactly how Bosch spells it, it won't help you nearly as much if you just have a "rough" number or rough idea of the name, it needs to be exact. You can find the tool type number on your tool's name plate. It always consists of 10 digits and is the tool's unique identifier, while the tool's name is written on the housing most of the time. Bosch tells you all of this as well on the search's homepage. If you already know the part number for the spare part, you can search for that directly, when the part pulls up you can double check that it is the correct one by clicking "Where Used", which is an option next to the part number, it will pull up a list of everywhere that part is used and what products you can find it in. When looking up your tool or part, sometimes there is a USA and an EU option. Depending where you're located, make sure to choose the correct option to get the correct diagram and parts. Once you get the hang of entering in what you need, these pages are relatively easy to navigate and the diagrams are simple to read and understand. They don't usually do diagrams, just pictures, for parts even if that "part" is a group of several other parts put together in a package. The diagrams are mostly just for full, complete tools or other products. Below is an example of what to expect when you pull up the Bosch tool or other product you were looking for.

Once you've found the part you need either through the diagram, the parts list or with a little help of both, you can add it directly to your cart and checkout. Some times parts are on backorder which is that's the case then you can still place your order but it might take a little while to get it. If it says that there is zero in stock then you will have to wait for them to resupply and if it only says out of stock then they will be refilling their inventory. The other thing you might see is that a part has been discontinued which means the part is no longer available to get directly from Bosch, if that's the case for you then you can take that part number you found and try to find it from a third party that has it in stock which there is usually at least one company that has what you need. Bosch has diagrams for pretty much every tool they've made, even the ones that are outdated and they no longer support such as older generations, so unfortunately sometimes it takes a few extra steps to get what you need, but you can almost always find what you're looking for from them even if it isn't directly from Bosch.

This website can be a great resource for certain people and here at IMS we use it constantly whether it's for our own tool repairs or if it's to assist another company or customer trying to find a part they need to repair their products. If you have any questions about the website and what it can do, feel free to get in contact with us with the link below and we can try to assist you any way we can. Bosch also has an amazing, knowledgeable customer service support system that can help you with any question you could possibly have about a product or part so don't hesitate to use them as well. Hopefully you found this blog helpful with some of the problems you might have experienced and if you haven't used it yet then I hope this acts as a good guide for you to understand the ins and outs of how to use and take advantage of Bosch's After Sales Service.
